This tool counts down the time left to spend Korea's fuel-price relief fund, which must be used by 23:59:59 KST on August 31, 2026 (end of that day). When does Korea's fuel-price relief fund have to be spent by?
By 23:59:59 KST on August 31, 2026 (end of that day). Any balance left unspent by that time is reclaimed by the national and local governments. The tool refreshes the remaining days, hours, minutes and seconds once per second, and shows the remaining days as a D- figure at the top of the page. Once the deadline passes, the countdown is replaced by a notice that the spending period has ended and that unused balances are reclaimed. The August 31 date is the deadline for spending a fund already received, which is separate from the application deadline of July 3, 2026.
Where and in which region can the fuel-price relief fund be spent?
It can be spent at small-business stores with annual sales of ₩3 billion or less, excluding restricted sectors such as entertainment and gambling businesses. A regional limit also applies: the fund can only be used in the area where it was received, meaning within that metropolitan city if it was received in one, or within a si or gun of that province. Whether a particular store will accept payment should be confirmed through official channels such as the issuing card company's app or a community service center.
How much is the fuel-price relief fund per person by region?
Round 2, for the general public in the bottom 70% by income, pays ₩100,000 per person in the capital area, ₩150,000 outside the capital area, ₩200,000 in population-decline preferential support areas and ₩250,000 in population-decline special support areas. Round 1, for vulnerable groups, paid ₩550,000 per person to basic-livelihood recipients and ₩450,000 to near-poor households and single-parent families. Selecting a region in the tool displays the matching amount, which is a reference figure copied from the program's published brackets. The amount actually paid and any remaining balance must be checked with the issuing card company or a community service center.
Does this countdown collect any personal information?
No. The remaining time is calculated only from the visitor's browser clock and the fixed deadline of 23:59:59 on August 31, 2026 (KST), and the region selection stays inside the page rather than being sent to a server. There are no fields for a resident registration number, income figure, or card number. What happens to money left over after August 31?
