The energy voucher self-check shows how much South Korea's 2026 energy voucher pays for each household size and how many days remain until the application deadline, all inside your browser. Pick a household size and it displays the annual estimate, from ₩295,200 for one person to ₩701,300 for four or more. It also lets you tick the two eligibility conditions yourself; it does not decide eligibility, which is confirmed through Bokjiro or your local community service center.

How much is the 2026 Korean energy voucher for each household size?

The 2026 energy voucher pays ₩295,200 a year for a one-person household, ₩407,500 for two people, ₩532,700 for three people, and ₩701,300 for households of four or more. Pressing a household-size button in the tool (1, 2, 3, or 4 or more) shows the matching amount immediately, and the top band applies the same figure no matter how many members above four the household has. The figures follow the Korea Energy Agency's energy voucher guidance and represent the combined annual support for 2026; the amount actually paid depends on the review outcome and household circumstances.

Who can apply for the Korean energy voucher?

Applicants must meet both conditions: ① an income criterion and ② a household member trait. The income criterion is receiving at least one of the livelihood, medical, housing, or education benefits. The trait condition is met when the household includes someone in one of eight categories: a senior (born on or before Dec 31, 1961), an infant (born on or after Jan 1, 2019), a person with a disability, a pregnant or postpartum woman, a person with a severe, rare, or intractable illness, a single-parent family, a child-headed household, or multiple children (two or more under 19). Ticking both in the tool shows that eligibility is possible, but that is a self-check result, not a determination.

When do 2026 energy voucher applications open and close, and when can it be used?

Applications run from Jun 15 to Dec 31, 2026, and the voucher can be used from Jul 1, 2026 to May 31, 2027. From 2026 the summer/winter usage split has been abolished, so the support can be used freely within that usage window. The top of the tool shows the days left until the Dec 31 deadline as a D-n counter, switching to an ended notice once the date passes. Because this tool covers time-limited information with an application deadline of Dec 31, 2026, its content may be updated or delisted after that date.

Is the household information I enter stored on a server?

No. The household size you select and the benefit and trait checkboxes you tick are processed only inside your browser; none of it is sent to or logged on a server. There is no sign-up step and no field for personal data such as a name or resident registration number. The amounts and dates come from the Korea Energy Agency's energy voucher guidance (energyv.or.kr), and the actual application or status check is made through Bokjiro or your local community service center (1600-3190).

Frequently asked questions

How much does a four-person household get from the energy voucher?

The 2026 annual amount for households of four or more is ₩701,300. Selecting "4 or more" in the tool shows this amount, and it stays the same for households with five or more members.

Does receiving the livelihood benefit alone make me eligible?

The income criterion alone is not enough. A household must meet both the income criterion (receiving at least one of the livelihood, medical, housing, or education benefits) and the household member trait criterion (a senior, infant, person with a disability, pregnant woman, and so on). Final confirmation comes from Bokjiro or a community service center.

Does this tool confirm whether I am eligible?

No. It presents the published amounts and dates and helps you check the two conditions yourself, as reference information only. Confirm eligibility and apply through Bokjiro or your local community service center (1600-3190).

Does the energy voucher have to be split between summer and winter?

No. From 2026 the summer/winter usage split has been abolished, so the voucher can be used freely between Jul 1, 2026 and May 31, 2027.

What this tool does not do

This tool does not determine eligibility. The amounts shown simply reproduce the published 2026 annual support figures by household size as reference values, and the checkbox result is a self-check of two conditions, not a confirmation of eligibility. It does not run an income or asset assessment, check for overlapping benefits, or calculate the amount actually payable, and it cannot submit an application. Confirm eligibility and apply through Bokjiro or your local community service center (1600-3190).
